Which paddling disciplines do you compete in Eg. Surfski, river marathon, flat-water marathon, flat water sprint, S.U.P etc:
Surfski and river marathon.

Favourite race, why?
Scottburgh to Brighton, It’s a small but really tough race with challenging surf and always a tough Natal field. Also happens to be the first race I ever managed to win making it special!

What about paddling keeps you paddling:
Every time I come home from a good downwind I am so amped and high from the experience! The rush you get from being out in the wild ocean, surfing waves, wind whistling overhead, it’s like feeling a small sense of control within completely uncontrollable conditions!

Were (or are you) a champ at any other sport?
Before paddling I used to swim, wow it was boring going up and down those lanes!

Why paddling above other sports?
See above!

Greatest paddling achievement ( or top 3!):
Winning Kwazulu Natal champs (Dolphin Coast Challenge) and my 8th position at the Cape Point Challenge in 2015.

Most memorable life achievement outside of paddling.
Passing my Matric year, it was tough with paddling as a major distraction!

What is your favourite MOCKE product, why:
The Mocke Fly Dry T, it just looks really cool and I use it for every sports activity because of the weightless feeling it has!
